In this role, you will be an instumental part of a start-up business unit of a large, well established multi-national company.

We are seeking someone interested in helping this business unit grow and not be just a cog in the wheel.  You will help the President of NEC National Security Systems make the right financial decisions.  You will gather and analyze data to resolve finanancial and operational issues pertaining to contracts, bookings, projects and billing.  We need someone who can look at the big picture in financial analysis and planning from top to bottom - not someone who just focuses on one area of finance.

 

The Sr. Financial Analyst directly supports our biometrics business unit and NEC NSS as a whole in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis (both regular and ad hoc).

While this is primarily a Financial Analyst role, you will also have the opportunity to learn and work on other areas of the business such as back office processing, reporting and pricing support.

You will utilize your problem solving skills and analyzes possible solutions using standard and ad hoc procedures.

You will also be involved in financial planning and analysis of business plans and forecasting financial goals.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Budgeting, working with business leaders to finalize annual budget.

- Financial Analysis/Budgeting/Forecasting - Work with key team members to update monthly forecast.  Help provide MFR presentation materials.

- Making sure all entries are posted correctly and accurate.

- Balance Sheet Report/Analysis

- Closing…Monitor month-end closing and work with accounting team to close the book accurately.
- Analyzing headcount and their financial impact, spending and expenses, revenue recognition, any other financial data.  Resource Planning of FTE, Contractors, Offshore and Subcontractors
- Reviewing Sales Pipelines, including pipeline management and analysis, P&L's, inventory, depreciation of assets, liabilities, etc.

- Assisting an assigned business unit on operational process such as purchasing, billing and various SAP entries.

- Documenting and Training processes that affects financials.

- Project/Maintenance Order/Rev/Cost Analysis and Support.

Reporting…Provide financial reports to Tokyo, NECAM/NSS management, Key stakeholders. Includes ad hoc reporting.

- Sales Reporting, including reporting that would reflect Sales to quota attainment, monthly and YTD. 

- Create Commission Plan with Business Leader.  Submit monthly accrual request and work with Accenture team to prepare payout documents.

 

Skills required:

- Bachelor degree

- Understand basics of accounting principles.
- Uses of financial planning and analysis tools such as SAP, Adaptive Insights, MS Dynamics to enter data.  

- Strong Excel skills are a must.

- Special consideration if you have experience with SAP FI, CO and PS
