Associate Support Engineer - Summary 

Provide NEC customer support and onboarding services for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) businesses of all sizes for the North American market.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support by phone and other communication applications to our Partners and their customers
  • Maintain ticketing system with initial diagnostics of the problem 
  • Solve technical problems for North American customers
  • Work in a team environment Provides Basic Telephony troubleshooting and support
  • Track and monitor all support cases to ensure timely resolution and follow-up
  • Work with NEC Partners to assist with Cloud-based onboarding assistance
  • Understands basic networking LAN/WAN knowledge
  • Responsible for creating Knowledgebase articles on Cloud Base systems 

 

Prerequisites

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university required; minimum zero - two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Technical support in areas as listed in the duties and responsibilities.
  • Certifications, Licenses, etc: Relevant Microsoft certifications.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and write interacts professionally, sensitively, and respectfully with individuals and groups to develop productive relationships that enhance quality service delivery.
  • Mathematical Skills: General math skills.
  • Reasoning Skills: Problem-solving, planning, organization & customer service skills.  
  • Highly analytical and focused on solving customers technical skills
  • Computer and/or Technical Skills: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

 
Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • General Work Environment: Office / Remote 
  • Noise: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Standing/Lifting: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Stress: Can be stressful especially when meeting short deadlines.
  • Travel: Travel as required for onsite system support and other customer support needs.
