Sales Operations Analyst - Summary - 

Perform planning, analysis and operational effectiveness and enablement activities for sales operations.  Implement, manage, analyze and enhance sales processes and sales automation systems.  Coordinate and deliver sales training and sales events. Support complex projects or ad-hoc initiatives that directly influence Sales and Sales Operations.  The position provides input and responds to issues and questions, supporting initiatives that span ongoing business processes and/or supporting strategic initiatives. Areas of responsibility will include one or more of the following:


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:                                                                                                      

  • Maintain and enhance sales force automation systems and processes to effectively monitor and manage revenue/expenses/forecasting and reporting.

  • Provide strategic guidance to sales stakeholders, process owners, and IT for Sales Enablement initiatives, tools and enhancements that help the organization achieve its goals.

  • Implement reporting and analysis to support sales leadership & larger sales strategy initiatives.

  • Identifies impact of technical and process changes across multiple areas of the business and makes modifications to solutions in order to achieve optimal results.

  • Provides direction to developers and cross-functional teams regarding requirements and testing results to ensure tools and solutions are fully functional and approved prior to release.

  • Ensure that team members understand how to utilize sales automation, reporting and enablement tools.  Ensure all newly hired sales team members are enabled and prepared to participate in sales routines through the onboarding process and ongoing training.

  • Facilitate and conduct training sessions on sales enablement initiatives and serve as the point of contact for sales team members on questions related to sales routines.

  • Maintain highly organized documentation and reference materials for sales team members to leverage in the sales process. Coordinate and manage sales events throughout the planning and delivery process while ensuring proper event execution and budget compliance.

  • Reviews capital expenditures and analyzes sales-related expenses associated with such things as the order pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment. Performs regular variance analysis for expenses and budgets. 

  • Participates in analysis of outside vendors and sales tools and implements new tolls and improvements to existing tools.



  • Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing preferred.

  • Experience: 2 or more  years  of marketing/sales related experience, preferably in the telecommunications, network or solutions industry.


Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management required.

  • Mathematical Skills: Excellent spreadsheet skills, including the use of formulas to compute basic business calculations such as gross profit, discounted sales, etc.

  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to analyze and improve job practices. Excellent understanding of database functions and personal computer applications. Excellent organizational skills to facilitate job duties.

  • Computer and/or Technical Skills: Familiarity with databases and sales software such as SQL, Salesforce CRM/PRM and Power BI preferred. Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office applications include Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
