Summary - Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements for new products used in local, networked and Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as quote/order management, user account management/access control, and other back-office applications. The engineer is going to develop software for our back-office applications. One of the features of that software is account management and access control. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • 50% Development, coding, testing and integration.

  • 20% Product architecture.

  • 20% Documentation, training and support.

  • 10% Requirement capture and analysis.



  • Education: Computer Engineering - IT Bachelor's Degree 

  • Experience: 5 to 10 years in software engineering.

  • Ability to perform full stack programming in languages such as Angular, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET Core, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML required.

  • Knowledge of databases like MS-SQL, Oracle or DB2.

  • Knowledge of development/deployment platforms like IIS is required, Azure deployment configuration is preferred.

  • Knowledge of web communication protocols is required.

  • Certifications, Licenses, etc.: Microsoft Azure Certification is a plus.

  • Excellent Communication - Team work - IT Engineering Work knowledge & skills

  • Language Skills: Good oral and written communication in English

  • Mathematical Skills: College level skill is required

  • Reasoning Skills: Very good reasoning, problem solving, and innovation skills required

  • Computer and/or Technical Skills: Agile Software Development

Work Environment and Physical Demands 

  • General Work Environment: Remote Home Office / General office environment.

  • Noise: Moderate noise level.

  • Standing/Lifting: Mostly sitting with moderate computer equipment lifting up to 20 lbs. capability

  • Visual: Long PC monitor viewing and very good close vision is required

  • Stress: Moderate to high

  • Travel: Unlikely

  • Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
