Summary 
Provide programming and troubleshooting support for Marketing-related web activities. Must be able to design, define, evaluate and implement a range of third-party and proprietary web-based & hardware accelerator applications as well as maintain, revise and upgrade propriety web-based & hardware accelerator legacy applications and workflows. Conceptual knowledge and practical experience in the phases of web programming, maintenance, security, and development of and maintaining a backend database are essential. 
Able to collaborate with others, deliver results in a timely manner and explain best practices and concepts in a way that builds team consensus and wins alliances.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • 35% Analyze, evaluate, develop, test and deploy new and existing web-based & hardware accelerator applications.
    • Provides detailed analysis to ensure applications meet key requirements.
    • Design software applications, modules and/or required enhancements for operational efficiencies.
    • Codes, reviews, prepare prototypes to demonstrate effectiveness.
    • Analyzes, recommends, validates and implements software application rebuilds and upgrades.
  • 20% Interpret web-based marketing needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to standard and non-standard requests to establish and maintain a positive NEC brand image with customers, prospects, media and analysts, employees and the general public.
    • Collaborates internally/externally to determine web-based requirements and identify best practices to achieve key objectives and outcomes.
    • Explains issues and works to build understanding and consensus.
  • 20% Maintains and enhances technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technology.
  • 20% Produces program, system and user documentation for all systems created within the department. 
  • 5% Provides on-call support for customers.

 

Prerequisites 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 
    • 2+ years of experience in Web Development.
    • 2+ years experience developing with .net, PHP, HTML5, CCS3, Node.js, JavaScript, XML, or other web programming packages.
    • 2+ years of experience with MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB or Microsoft SQL.
    • 2+ years working with Web Services and developing APIs.
    • Well-practiced with Python coding and TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI/ML frameworks.
    • Familiar with CMS tools such as OpenText Teamsite, OpenCms or OpenKM.

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills 

  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, proven ability to effectively work with and support customers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Must be skilled in basic math.
  • Reasoning Skills: Must be able to work with limited oversight; self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Computer and/or Technical Skills: Possesses in-depth working knowledge of programming and systems analysis procedures. Is fluent in the relevant programming languages and environments.  Proficient in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support).
