NEC is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Agile Scrum Master must be very well organized and able to manage multiple technical, business, test and training teams and responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle.

Details of the position include the following -

  • Manages the development and implementation of activities to meet organizational goals, and cost objectives Plans and administers procedures and budgets leveraging multiple development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned projects
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the projects
  • Managing a team (onshore and offshore) for software development projects
  • Success would be to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget and must be completed for clients - upper management satisfaction
  • Identify issues and risks early and mitigate
  • The successful candidate will be able to work with multiple teams and cultures, multi-tasks and pivots to urgent tasks and problems quickly, is succinct with excellent communication skills while running multiple concurrent projects
  • The successful individual will have worked in .NET environments (C#), Windows OS, Oracle, worked with testing teams in addition to development, keeps track of project plans, metrics gathering, product quality management as well as multiple vendors and coordinates well with other resources internally


  • Facilitating daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospective meetings, and sprint demo
  • Budget tracking, budget analysis, team progress reporting, burn down charts, and other basic administration activities.
  • Removing obstacles team and sprint success
  • Encouraging self-organization by facilitating the appropriate delegation of tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
  • Training, mentoring, and coaching teams on use of agile development process
  • Utilizing and improving of Agile tools as a tool to monitor and manage sprint success
  • Coordinating across scrum teams in multi-scrum team environment
  • Developing and managing the project plan, budget and sprint schedule including coordinating the efforts of all project participants and resources, while also serving as a hands-on participant
  • Engaging with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business inputs, functions, workflows and outputs to generate and document project requirements
  • Producing recommendations for business and system solutions to address project requirements
  • Act as Scrum Master, helping to best leverage agile methodology to maximize productivity
  • ovide feedback and suggestions for continual improvement of the agile process itself
  • Work with Product Owner, Scrum Team and other internal teams to resolve conflicts and clarify priorities
  • Facilitate getting work done efficiently by facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution
  • Facilitate requirements gathering
  • Define Project scope in collaboration with customer
  • Develop detailed project plans
  • Monitor and control project schedule, scope, quality and cost.
  • Manage cross-functional teams for effective project execution Manage all the communications with customer during the project
  • Effectively present project status to customer and senior management
  • The position requires a strong Project Management with business analysis skills and technical experience and the ability to work well in a big-scale IT development team environment, as well as skills to facilitate communication, team focus, influence, service oriented, problem solving, analytic thinking, planning, personal development and decisiveness.


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (or greater) within a technical or business field
  • Highly energetic and self-motivated with excellent professional business manner
  • Large scale IT development project management experience
  • Ability to sell ideas and gain the commitment and buy-in of others
  • Adapt to the environment and learn quickly
  • Influence and lead development, quality, and product professionals
  • Solve problems and think critically
  • Plan and organize (and reorganize) in an environment of shifting priorities
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative team dynamic
  • Communicate clearly, both by writing concisely and speaking directly
  • Manage and negotiate and conflict
  • Five (5) years’ experience with managing large-scale software development projects
  • Out of five (5), at least three (2) years of project management experience in the retail industry
  • PMP Certification
  • Clear and concise verbal/written communications with customers and management. Experience with presentations to large groups
  • Change Management Experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Problem Solving and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Customer Service & Profesonal Business manner
  • Extensive skills and experience with the following; ◦MS Project
  • PMP
  • Software Development Life Cycle
  • Project Management Life Cycle


Required experience:

  • Scrum Master experience: 2+ years
  • Hands-on experience Scrum Master skills demonstrated by Scrum Certification and 3+ years working as a Scrum Master in a cross functional software development team environment
  • MS Project, JIRA, Crucible, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of teams
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance
  • Proven experience with AGILE software development methodologies and techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Automated Testing
  • TFS Agile experience: 2+ years preferred
  • PMP preferred
