How would you like to be part of a team forming a new vision and transforming NEC into a digital service organization by reimaging our legacy on-premise biometic systems and moving them to a SaaS model?


The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution of biometrics products throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.


The Sr. Product manager will oversee the development of a biometric enterprise-repository product from concept development or roadmap revisions, through system development and certification, and into production. Responsible for developing a product lifecycle governing each product from its birth to its burial. The Sr. Product Manager shall develop a product roadmap detailing the feature and functionality of the product at each phase of the lifecycle. Perform market studies and evaluate and compare the product to other available products in the market and establish means to maximize product return on investment. Responsible for the COST of the overall program and is responsible to bring the product to market, the SCHEDULE of the development process, and the PERFORMANCE of the item once it is into production. Interprets and anticipates customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies new products and solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.


In this role, you will be measured by creating new products as well as sustaining the excellence of the existing portfolio. The new and existing product portfolio will need to bring in growing revenue.
In turn, the Sr. Product Manager drives action through the company mainly through written documents supported by presentations.


In this role, you will produce the following documentation:

  • Business case
  • Market needs document
  • Product Roadmaps
  • White papers, case studies, product comparisons, competitor analysis, and user stories
  • Presentations using the above content
  • Excel spreadsheets to document data used above


The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Master's degree or additional product management certification is desired
  • 5-10 years of product management experience
  • Has been through creation and launce of a SaaS product
  • Came from a software development background prior to becoming a Product Manager
  • Can define backend API services and define the product roadmap for those services
